Getting started
How do I create my first listing?
+
Go to your dashboard and click 'New listing'. Upload photos, fill in core details (title, description, condition, price), select which platforms to publish to, and click Publish. Sell Seva pushes the listing to all selected platforms simultaneously.
How do I connect my marketplace accounts?
+
Go to Settings → Connected platforms and click 'Connect' next to each marketplace. eBay and Etsy use secure OAuth — you'll be redirected to their login page. For Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop, enter your login credentials to establish a session connection.
Can I import my existing listings?
+
Yes. Go to Import → Import inventory. You can connect each platform to pull in your existing listings automatically, or upload a CSV file. We auto-generate SKUs and detect cross-platform duplicates during import.
Is there a mobile app?
+
Yes! Sell Seva has a native app for iOS and Android. The full listing form, photo upload, and inventory management are available on mobile. The unified inbox (eBay & Etsy messages + one-click links to other platforms) is available on Growth and Pro plans.
Crosslisting
How does crosslisting work?
+
You create one listing in Sell Seva. We handle translating it to each platform's specific format — adjusting categories, size fields, condition values, and required fields per platform. You review the platform-specific fields and click Publish.
What if a platform has different required fields?
+
Platform-specific fields are shown in expandable sections in the listing form. For each platform, we auto-fill what we can from your core details. Fields that need your input are flagged. Most listings need less than 60 seconds of platform-specific work.
Can I publish to some platforms but not others?
+
Yes. In the listing form, you can toggle each platform on or off individually. Your selection is remembered for future listings.
What happens if a listing fails to publish on one platform?
+
We retry automatically and notify you via the app and email. You can fix the issue (usually a missing required field) and re-publish to just that platform without affecting the others.
Auto-delist & sales
How does auto-delist work?
+
When an item sells on any connected platform, Sell Seva detects the sale and automatically removes the listing from all other platforms — usually within seconds. This happens in the cloud 24/7, even when your phone is off.
Do I need to keep my browser open?
+
No. Sell Seva is fully cloud-based. Unlike some competitors that require a browser extension running, Sell Seva monitors your sales and manages delisting entirely server-side.
What if the same item sells on two platforms at once?
+
This is extremely rare but can happen in the milliseconds between sale and delist. If it does, Sell Seva alerts you immediately so you can cancel one order before shipping. Our average delist time is under 8 seconds.
Can I manually mark an item as sold?
+
Yes. In your inventory dashboard, open any listing and click 'Mark as sold'. Enter the sale price and platform and it will be delisted everywhere and added to your sales records.
Inventory & SKUs
What is a SKU and why do I need one?
+
A SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique code you assign to each physical item. You print a label and put it on the item. When it sells and you need to find it, the SKU tells you exactly which physical item it is — especially useful if you have hundreds of similar items.
How do I generate SKUs?
+
SKUs are auto-generated for every listing. You can also create custom formats (e.g. LV501-032 for a Levi's item). Go to Settings → SKU format to set your preferred format.
What is COGS and why should I track it?
+
COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) is the price you paid for an item. Tracking it lets Sell Seva calculate your true net profit per sale after fees. It's also required for accurate Schedule C tax filing — without COGS records, you may overpay taxes significantly.
Billing & plans
What's included in the free plan?
+
The free Starter plan includes 25 listings per month, 3 platforms, 50 AI listings, and the mobile app. No credit card required.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
+
Yes, anytime from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle.
How do I cancel?
+
Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Your account remains active until the end of the billing period. Your data and listings are preserved for 90 days after cancellation.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
+
Yes — annual plans are 2 months free compared to monthly billing. Switch to annual in Settings → Billing.
Troubleshooting
A platform says my credentials are wrong after connecting.
+
Go to Settings → Connected platforms and click 'Reconnect' for that platform. If you recently changed your password on the platform, you'll need to re-enter your credentials.
My listing published but I can't see it on the platform.
+
Most platforms have a short delay (1–5 minutes) before new listings appear. If it's been more than 10 minutes, check the listing in your Sell Seva inventory and look for any error status. Contact support if the issue persists.
Auto-delist didn't trigger when my item sold.
+
Check that the platform is listed as Connected in Settings. If it shows a warning, click Reconnect. If the issue persists, use Contact Us below — include the listing ID and sale details.
